A 19.2 pound, 2-foot-long bouncing baby boy was born on Monday (by C-section) to a mother in Jakarta, Indonesia. According to a story on the Today Show the baby’s cry sounds more like a roar, and he has a huge appetite. The baby is shown here next to a normal sized baby.
The baby has a record weight for a baby born Indonesia. But the largest baby ever born in the world was 23 pounds in 1879. In 2006, a set of twins born in Utah had a total combined weight of 17 pounds, and this one Indonesian baby weighed more than both of those babies.
I wonder what his mom had to eat to grow when she was pregnant.. I hope he’ll grow up healthy…
