Entire Police Department Quits

Budget cuts and economic woes are not just forcing companies and business to shut shop and lay off employees but even Police departments as well.

A news channel is reporting that a town was left with no cops after its officers quit. May sound funny but the number of officers in the Police department was just two and the strength of the town was just 500.

The dispute was over pay after officers refused a cut and put in their resignations.

The move has enraged the city public, primarily because the officers were liked and were extremely professional. A few of the county members demanded a recall of the county government because of this.

In related news, Onion is reporting that Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler is being laid off as part of budget cuts.
