Oxiclean Guy Billy Mays Dead

Billy Mays thumb 252x264 Oxiclean Guy Billy Mays DeadAll American Hall of Famer Salesman par Excellence Oxiclean Guy Billy Mays has died. The 50 year old was basically known to indulge in shouting matches while selling the stuff that he was promoting.

The news obviously came as a shock since there has been a spate of deaths in the celeb world and now all of a sudden you have a healthy guy kicking the bucket.

Life is indeed very unpredictable. We of course wish the best to the surviving family and kids.

The autopsy will be performed and the cause of death will be announced then.

How did Billy Mays Die

This is still a mystery to me. Billy Mays was flying on a US Airways flight from Philadelphia in Pennsylvania to Tampa, Florida where he lives when the aero plane had a hard landing and burst its tire.

There was nobody injured on the flight at the time of the incident.

However I suppose when Billy went home something happened and he passed out. Tampa officials say the Medical Examiner’s Office expects to complete an autopsy by Monday afternoon.

In a statement, wife of Billy Mays – Deborah Mays said that although “Billy lived a public life,” the family does not plan immediate public statements about his death.

    Well i assume since he was doing several commercials and infomercials he was flying a lot. And on the day of his death of course he was flying. Lots of flying means not much movement which equals not very good circulation. Therefore, you can get blood clots and they can get lodged in your heart and/or lungs causing death, immediate death and there is nothing to stop it. My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family. This is only my assumption of what has happened and not a verification of death. It is possible this could be the reason though

    That’s close to the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Since he was flying and he died – it must have been a blood clot…? Come on are you serious? You have zero information on his private life and what level of cardiovascular exercise he did or didn’t do. That is just uninformed ignorant speculation. If you want to talk about a possible reason there are a few hundred more reasons why his heart could have stopped.

    Blood clot is not a stupid guess. The health of the person has little to do with the possibility of deep vein thrombosis. However, this was a short flight. Blood clots from inactivity happen on long flights, such as cross-country or inter-continental.

    From comments Mays made about being hit in the head from falling luggage may have more to do with it. While he felt fine when leaving the plane, perhaps he had a similar head injury to Miranda Richardson?

    Could be anything. Not for us to examine. Thats what the pros are for. I can’t imagine what it’s like for his wife. R.I.P Billy. Heart goes out to the family.

    Oh, and my grandfather had a similar accident on a plane. Hit his head and broke his hip. Found out he had cancer while in the ER. So, could be anything.

  6. Kris says:

    When you consider the statistics and how blood clots affect our lives I think it fair to say that a blood clot is entirely likely.

    Thromboses are responsible for:

    * 95% of fatal heart attacks
    * 92% of fatal strokes
    * all fatal pulmonary emboli
