All you gamers out there, brace yourself! This summer there has been frentic activity with what Diablo and Rock star vying for attention but now guess what!
Rock Band 2 has been officially announced and it will be arriving on the Xbox 360 this September, with versions for other platforms following soon after as per the latest media reports. (read IGN)
The fans with tonnes of old rock songs with be happy to hear that all the old stuff will still be recognized by the new versions. Its backward compatible. (Thank you Rock Band for this!)
With any new product comes the marketing propaganda and this was no different. A suit from the company was heard remarking in a press release that – Rock Band 2 is a second-generation band game that will elevate the music game experience to the next level.
(I love the game but I just don’t like it coming from a corporate shark. They should, instead, have the game reviewed by die hard fans, and have speak their mind. Though its never going to happen).
The number of tracks or the line of the rock stars is yet to be announced but you can expect this info to be out as the buzz starts to build around the new product.
All the fan boys, your jamming stuff would still be compatible but the company also plans to release new upgraded equipment that you might want to check out.
Here’s some interesting info for you. Even though US economy is in recession and sales generally are not so roboust, video games is one industry which is having a shining year.
What that tells me is, irrespective of the performance of the economy, when die hard gamers see somethnig they like, better not stand in their way.
