Thank you, John Sullivan, for your comment. You said it better than I’ve heard yet, about Woods’ issues. Life’s winners and losers are definitely measured by decency and fidelity. If Woods didn’t really want to be married, why not just stay single and a scummy playboy? He’s not only cheated on his wife, but, think about “STD’s” people. He has a wife he could have infected with STD’s and God forbid, HIV/AIDS. He also has an infant and toddler (BEAUTIFUL children) that he could have infected in the womb and during/after birth. Let’s hope that NEVEr happens. Let’s hope those little children are going to be okay. And, his wife. I don’t give a darn about his ability to golf. I give a darn about him. Being a great athlete is not the recipe for a great person.

Good post, ray, but even that isn’t enough to tell the whole story. The fact is, and known back in 1997, that Fuzzy probably was the least racist of anyone on the tour, and his favorite practice partner was one of the few blacks on the tour.

A silly (but typically Fuzzy) joke was treated like a mortal sin of racism, and Tiger Woods and his father made it only worse and worse. Tiger got a pass then, just as he did only a few months earlier when Vanity Fair ran an extremely revealing interview with Tiger Woods in which he spoke openly and hatefully about homosexuals and others.

Sure he was just in his 20s,and surely he didn’t even realize how his hateful words sounded, but the major media writers gave him a complete pass.

Tiger Woods is unquestionably one of the worlds greatest golfers, but his actions back in 1997 and 1998, abd throughout this decade, demonstrate clearly that he is a loser in the real world as far as winners and losers are measured by their decency and fidelity.

How can u take a guy named fuzzy seriously. Of course he was joking, I have always liked tiger but tiger should not have reacted like he did and just let it go. But he was young then. It’s funny that he wants everyone to let this go. He basically did the same thing to his wife that he thought fuzzy had done to him. If they ( fried) fuzzy for a comment what should happen to Tiger?

Speaking about Zoeller’s comment and not putting it into the context in which the comment was made is futile.

Wood’s had won a tournament, the PGA Championship or the Master’s or whatever. The winner gets to select the what meal will be served at the dinner. When Zoeller was asked for a comment on Wood’s winning……….he made the comment about, ” I suppose we’ll be getting Fried Chicken and Collard greens ”

It was nothing more than a silly comment from a guy who is known for his joking around. Was not the right thing to say, however, Woods could have difused the situation instead of making it worse. Zoeller obviously is not racist and did not mean any harm, with his stupid comment.

But, because of the way Woods re-acted to it…….Zoeller has never been the same guy again….Pity

Well in my opinion, yes it is wrong of a famous celebrity to speak bad about another person, expecially in public but I don’t believe Fuzzy Zoeller meant any harm by what was said. Fuzzy Zoeller to me is still the greatest golfer ever to live because he held his ground in the championship last year. Most people wouldn’t even have made it as far as he did. This guy is a true legend and besides he’s in some poker tournament in the Atlantis this September, so I highly doubt he is worried at all about Tiger! He’s an poker expert in the making!
