Recent Alaska Earthquakes

There was an earthquake in a large part of Alaska today sometime back. It was a shallow earthquake but it gave jitters to everybody.

The magnitude of the earthquake was about 4.7 and it stuck at 12:13 p.m local time. The earthquake was centered 20 miles north of the capital city and interestingly it was followed by a large boom like sound.

Popular communities like Wasilla and Palmer also felt the trembling. I am not sure about destruction to life and property so far.

Are you based in Alaska and did you feel the tremors? What was it like. Give a shout out before.
