I just heard from my dawgs in Memphis that they have hired the assistant Coach Josh Pastner. Josh Pastner is filling up the position that was earlier owned by John Calipari.
The News Conference announcing the new Coach Josh Pastner will be held on Tuesday at noon time Central. This is when the new coach Josh Pastner will be introduced to the media and he will field questions.
The new head coach is only 31 years old and I find it somewhat young but hey talent does not have any age. If Josh can prove it, then he is the man.
I will post the youtube video showing the Josh Pastner press conference as it becomes available. Keep checking back for more.
Are you a big Memphis fan or foe? What do you think of the new hire Josh Pastner.

Josh Pastner

I’m an Arizona Wildcat fan and watched Josh grow up playing for the university, getting his degree in three years and masters in another. Averaged 4 hours a night sleeping, going to school and playing basketball. Then worked himself into an assistant coach position under Olsen. Outstanding young man, driven, best recruiter probably in the country and a true Student of the game of basketball. He is and has been a winner as a person and coach for all of his young life. Memphis is smart and fortunate to have Josh as their coach. No one will out work him and the results will come quickly to the Memphis basketball team.
I second that as a UofA fan. Pastner even helped the coaches when he was a walk on here at AZ. He studied film and constantly shared notes with Olson. He was the most popular man on campus even though he was a walk on…And yes, he did his Masters in only 3 years, along with working out with the team, helping the coaches…all that on only 4 hours sleep per night…
As a U of M fan, I am so excited! This guy seems great!
I am a Tiger season ticket holder. The past few years have been great, but I never felt comfortable with Cal. He wanted a raise every year and was always looking somewhere else. I was afraid we would soon be on NCAA probation because Cal lives life on the edge and lives on the bourders of the law. Josh is a breath of fresh air and a very, very impressive young man. He has my support and I look forward to seeing him grow as a coach. I’ve just doubled my contribution to the Tiger Club and am ready for the Pastner era to begin. Go Tigers and thank you UK!
I love Josh. I followed him thru every game at Arizona as a player. He was training to be a coach 24/7 because he was the last guy in the game, loved the game, knew he had limited skills so by damm he was going to stay in B.ball as a coach.
I always held out hope he’d be a Wildcat coach someday. Hmmmm, still might someday. Till then, Josh…..you da man!!
