Schools and Colleges across the country are hurting because of these tough economic times because their primary donor – the government of United States, and the local state agencies are finding it extremely difficult to not only balance the budget but also maintain payroll.
However it is during these times that federal, state, and private grants for various education endeavors come into picture. Recently I came across this news according to which, physical education instructor Hilary Nichols, remarked that even though these grants exists but since information is hard to come by or whatever information that one gets is often complex and confusing.
The physical education program grant has been charted for almost 3 years now. But the catch here is that its a matching grant which means the school has to match the contribution of the federal donorship. But its not 100 percent and thats the saving grace. The school district would be responsible for 10 percent for the first year but it increases to 25 percent in the next 2 years.
But thats not all, the school would have to hire a professional grant writer and this money would also have to be contributed by some department, like medical perhaps.
