President Obama (I am still trying to get used to putting President before Obama’s name, he sounds better with just Obama though)  recently spoke to the Congress for the first time and it was a moving speech. Classic Obama where he takes the view high up the mountains, across the rivers, into the valley of hope. Obama’s speeches are truly transcendental.

However one thing that everybody could’nt stop talking about afterwards was, given that the occasion was congress speech, how Obama’s wife Michelle came dressed up showing her bare arms. People and political pundits were wondering alike whether it made any dress sense to dress up so casually in one of the highest offices of the land. The occassion did demand some decorum and respect, after all it was not some garden tea party.

Is people are so talkative when its just a question of bare arms, imagine what the chatter would be like in case Michelle Obama gets pregnant while in White House. Also, how tall do you think Michelle is? (Some sites report Michelle Obama’s height to be 5-11. Others say that Michelle Obama is 5-9. But one we can be sure of is that she is not under 5-9).

But now people have seen Michelle Obama’s biceps and they have liked what they saw, they are talking more and more about it. I have seen debates on Huffington Post where the opinion is equally divided – should Michelle try to cover up and show less skin or given that she has such fabulous arms, continue with displaying her well toned biceps at all occassion but the most formal (like a state funeral perhaps).

Although personally I would like Mrs Obama to remain just the way she is, and dress up just the way she want to but I can understand why some purists are jumping the shark and demanding she cover up her beautiful arms.

What is your opinion about this? Do you think she ought to show some more decency for the highest office or should maintain the status quo.
