Oliver Peck, the guy who drew the tatoos must be seeing the number 13 everywhere, including his dreams.
From midnight Thursday to midnight Friday, Peck completed a record 415 tattoos, tatooing the unlucky number 13 to scores of arms, legs, ankles, backs, thighs and even some rear ends.
Peck claimed a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for drawing the most tattoos in a 24-hour period.
For several years on Friday the 13th, Elm Street Tattoo in the Deep Ellum entertainment district in Dallas has launched a 24-hour tattoo marathon.
The earlier record holder was Kat Von D, she hosts a show called LA Ink on TLC.
Some of Peck’s customers included firefighters, police officers, bartenders, a vehicle inspector, a nurse and a surgeon. By the time the marathon began, a line of customers snaked out the door and onto Elm Street.
I have been to this area quite a few times while visiting downtown Dallas but I remember mostly the hard rock places. The club I visited, forgot its name, but that place had hosted acts like Nirvana, Pearl Jam ect. long before they hit platinum numbers and became house hold names.
The act on the stage while I was visiting was some hard rock of the bone jarrning kind, the ones that I don’t fancy.
