Those who have been laid off in the state of Wiscon have something to cheer about. The government has raised the amount by $25.
This is like a silver lining on the dark cloud. Those living in Wisconsin who are getting unemployment compensation benefits, will see a hike of about $25 and this hike effect is on a weekly basis. So every week you will have $25 more to spend.
This hike is an additional part of the much-needed relief in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is expected to go a long way in assisting the blue collar families in getting back on their feet and return to work.
Obama’s package provides the extra $25 a week for the remainder of the year and Department of Workforce development Secretary Roberta Gassman said that those who are currently receiving the benefit will automatically get the additional $25 as long as they are eligible for benefits this year.
