Jordyn Wieber

Even if I have to put down all of money on this, I would do it. That’s the kind of confidence this gymnast demands.

I am going to put my rep on line and go as far as to say that Jordyn Wieber will be anything but another flash in the pan star in women’s gymnastics after the performance today.

Wieber is all of 13 years old but packs a solid punch when it comes to delivering world class performances. Jordyn Wieber will exhibit Team USA with Beijing Olympic medalists Bridget Sloan and Joseph Hagerty. Also accompanying them would be the 2008 U.S. men’s all-around champion David Sender. All these folks are coming at the Tyson American Cup in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Wieber is the reigning U.S. junior all-around champion. Wieber undergoes her practice and training at the Geddert’s Twistars Gymnastics in Lansing.
