So many incidents have come to light that it seems like its becoming the hottest trend in American schools. More and more school teachers are getting involved with their students and the involvement is crossing all barriers.
The kind of rules we have generally seen in corporates and companies against harassment might one day be implemented in schools as well. Or at least the students would be proactively educated against getting involved with their teachers.
So anyway, lets look at the latest case, this time of Kendra Hoffpauir, from Leesville Vernon Parish, who has been charged by the police detectives of having improper relationship with a juvenile.
Kendra works as a para professional at the Vernon Middle School and according to the school authorities she indulged in a relationship that is unbecoming for somebody who has been entrusted the care of students. Kendra Hoffpauir herself is only 24 years old.
The juvenile in this case is not directly a student of Kendra and has never been. The cops got on Kendra’s tail after the parents of the boy reported her to the local sheriff’s office.
What do you think is going on with the American society. Are these isolated incidents or do you see a growing trend in what many think is going to become acceptable.

He did not lie about his age….how typical…blame the victim. She had a network of children that she was sexually abusing and that is how she met him. He was one of their friends. “Someone” was very stupid to even suggest a thing like this. Am I wrong??? I doubt it…since the original story broke…she has been re-arrested on ‘9′ additional charges with OTHER CHILDREN. Get a grip “Someone” and stop blaming the victims. We, as parents, sent our children to these schools and entrusted them with the care of the most precious sons…only to have them exploited by a pedophile. I know this child and a drunk in dark bar would never mistake him for a man!
Ok so mister know it all…..If you get a second go check the police blogs in which it is stated that many witnesses heard the young man tell her that he was of consenting age and attending a college several times. Yes she has been arrested on other charges so there is a lot of blame to put on her. However at the time they are all accusations, except for the young man who she was first arrested for. Let me ask you a question. You said you have children correct. With these children to you allow them listen to vulgar music, watch explicit t.v., engage in drinking, or hang out with friends their own age who engage in these activities. So who is to blame you or her? If you taught your children the danger of having sex would they even get themselves into this situation? Yes, she should not have taken advantage of her role as a teacher-aid, but like I said those charges have yet to be proven true. I am going to ask you one more question….why are you hiding your identity? If you have the balls to write all of that should you not be able to say your name?

Lol I have known her for about 12 years now. I have never even known her to touch something having to do with drugs. I had not heard about the crackhead that is to funny.

uh…janice richards…if u read the paper u would know that kendra DID know that the boy was underage, because she had admitted to knowing his age AND amitted to ‘talking’ to the boy on the phone…ALSO she knew the boy’s brother AND spoke to him in the halls of the junior high…if u know her so much of her you would know that she has touched drugs AND students…the youngest son’s father was IN school AT the time she had his child, yes he was of age, but thats besides the point. HE=STUDENT SHE=TEACHER it should not be tolerated. He is not the only minor that has had relations with her and some of these boys, yes boys, have yet to come foward to the police. know what your talking about before you praise highly of someone. Wow ej. You do realize that she was not arrested for sleeping with the 17 year old whose brother goes to the Junior High. She was arrested for sleeping with the 15 year old who “she did not know from school”(newspaper wording). Yeah she slept with a 17 year old, by george in the state of Louisiana that is legel! Yeah her youngest son’s sperm donor was only in high school at the time. However they had previous relations before she ever became a teacher. But again he was of consenting age. If you knew the true story you would know that all no time did she use her power has a teacher to sleep with the 15 year old he lied, the 17 year old who is of age, and her baby’s father who was all of age and had dated her for a year before she became a teacher. So you show me where she is ped0phile based on that?
As soon as you show me proof that she used her power has a teacher to sleep with someone or that she knowingly slept with someone who was not of consensual age than what you are going off is just rumors. So you at this time have no right to call her a ped0phile. What about the 50 year old man arrested for child porn the same week….where is the outcry about that? she is 24 he is 50….
Give me a time and place and we will have a sit down so you can prove this to me.
Come on guys. This is nothing new. When I was in high school, there was Mrs. B, a young, hot married teacher with whom several of us were sleeping. Then there was Miss F. An older 50ish teacher, but very nice figure and always wore extremely tight sweaters. I think most of the boys in the school got oral s3x from her, including me. I could tell you how most of the boys turned out-good in all cases. I certainly never felt used or abused, but rather proud of my ‘accomplishment.’ I’m 71 years old, so do the math.
She was not s3xually abusing anyone. Yea, she may have had s3x with and underage guy, but I know for a fact that a lot of the bars on 171 don’t ID or just don’t care. I know why the mother brought it up too. Leesville seems to be corrupt in some parts and some people don’t like it. Kandra’s family is not one of those corrupt familes though. Yea, she has 3 kids and I know the youngest baby father and he is like 21. Who really gives a sh!t? Why is this big deal? Get over it! God, those boys are not crying s3xual abuse they are probably bragging. Let’s worry about people who are actually being victimized. We are wasting tax-payers money in this economy to prosecute a girl who didn’t hurt anyone.
I am the mother of one of the victims. If you don’t believe that this has affected him negatively, you are a fool. If you don’t believe that this has affected my career, my husband’s career, and our financial situation – you are a fool. I have had to home-school him since this happened. I have had to take him to psychologists who specialize in treating victims of this type of crime…at $500 a session (cash). We have had to move out of state to find peace. And, did any of you know about the vicious diseases she was spreading around to all of these children? Yes, that’s right. That’s how we found out about it to begin with…now, I have a child who must be tested monthly because of his exposure to her high-risk behaviors. If your child had any relations with her…run as fast as you can to the nearest ER or doctors office and have him treated immediately before the damage is permanent or life-threatening.
Janice, do you not realize how pitiful your argument sounds? “They were 17… legel (Legal) age…baby’s father…another one was 17.” That’s just sick. And, that’s so “white trash” – for lack of a better word/phrase…but, I just can’t find one.
And we wonder how she got the diseases that she has passed along to the victims? (rhetorical question)
By the way, one of her victims had a disease over a year ago…that’s just scary – she’s been untreated for that long. She certainly needs to see a doctor immediately if she hasn’t already.
God help us all – especially the school board employees who were made aware of this situation over a year ago and did nothing to her. Shame on all of those involved for allowing a predator to roam free in the halls of schools searching for her next victim. How can you live with yourselves?
By the way, you say it’s not illegal to have the relationship with the 17 year old? You may want to check out the law…
Present law (R.S. 14:81.4) prohibits sexual conduct between educator and student when the student is 17 years of age or older, but less than 19 years.
Gov. Bobby Jindal supports increasing that age to 21. Not sure where it is in the current session, but they should be voting on it soon, if not already. Please let Sen. Smith and Rep. Armes know that you support this legislation.
