Crantzdorf Estate Fire

Crantzdorf Estate is an opulent castle resembling home in Johnson City, Tenn., has been severely burned by scorching flames.

Assistant Fire Chief Mark Finucane said the roof and top floor were badly burnt. It took about 25 fire fighters couple of hours to extinguish the flames. This tells you two things. First it was a big house that kept so many fire fighters on toes. Second, since the top portion was badly affected, the fire could have started from there.
Nobody was home at the time of the incident and Fire officials report the fire started during the thunderstorm. No wonder it could be a thunderstorm which affected the top.

Last time I was house hunting and I checked the price for this nine-bedroom lakeside chateau with indoor basketball court, it was around $28.5 million. I did not consider it at that time since I need more space.

Johnson City is in the east of Tennessee. The exact co-ordinates are about 100 miles northeast of Knoxville.
