President Elect Barack Obama announced another member of his team and again surprised many just like his previous nominations for White House Surgeon General and CIA chief. Obama has selected Nancy Killefer as the administration’s “Chief Performance Officer”. If you are wondering where did that come from, don’t be surprised or scratch your head. This is an entirely high level new position introduced by the new president.
Obama is creating this position with the view of removing waste and inefficiencies out of the bloated government. This is also part of keeping an eye on the bail out money and other federal spending. I have been pro Obama through out the campaign so don’t get me wrong, but adding more government resources to check on government resources sounds like chasing a dogs tail.
