Myrtle Fargate became popular and came into American consciousness because of the show All my children, the character role of which was played by Eileen Herlie.
Just yesterday I came to know that Myrtle had passed away. So the next day, the show’s episode was an hour long tribute to the character as well as Eileen herself.
This show has gathered quite a fan following and I am sure the fans will be distressed at the death of Myrtle Fargate aka Eileen Herlie. Its quite an unfortunate twist to the show but I am sure Eileen has lived a full life.

Myrtle was the best, she was the show for any years, I am a 40 yr vet of All My Children and I Mill miss her!

May her soul rest in peace. She gave the viewers of All My Children great advice on taking on life’s challenges, believing in oneself and standing up for what you believe in.
Myrtle was the greatest….always had the right answers and we got a big kick out of her talking about the carni. She was a character that could never be replaced..one of a kind lady. She will definitely be missed
