Many of you would remember the scare caused by Y2K bug and how it acted as the launch pad for Indian IT. Hundreds, if not thousands of Indian coders made rounds of US handling this bug in various applications.

Now, according to Tom Friedman, author of The World is Flat, another opportunity seems to knocking at the gates and which could be bigger than anything before – E2K.

The way he explains it:

E2K stands, in my mind, for all the energy programming and monitoring that thousands of global companies are going to be undertaking in the early 21st century to either become carbon neutral or far more energy efficient than they are today. India is poised to get a lot of this work“.
