The Lockheed Martin plant in Pennsylvania was recently a scene of heavy drama and crime. A guard at the site first shot his ex girl friend Deborah Bachak and then shot himself fatally.
This unfortunate tragedy took the lives of the guard and the employee Deborah. By the way my readers tell me Deborah was a nice person, a loving mom and a caring daughter. After the incident, the company evacuated the facility and sent everybody home for that day.
Both the subjects, the guard and Deborah Bachak were employees at the site and had started seeing each other. A week earlier the relationship turned nasty and both broke it off but apparently the guy took it hard.
Deborah Bachak was an employee of Lockheed and the guard was employed by one of the security contractors providing the services there. You can bet the security service firm would get their pants sued off them. By the way, this particular Lockheed plant was manufacturing laser guided ordnance.
The jury is still out on whether you ought to get involved with somebody from work. I suppose as long as the departments are totally different and there is no way one is in a position to exploit the other, it should be fine. But still some people have a hands off policy with respect to getting involved with their co workers. I think under some curcumstances it is ok.
What do you guys think about it. Have your say below.
