Name: Shaun Donovana
Might be nominated for: Secretary of housing and urban development
Will bring to the table:
Across the board know-how with housing matters, lived and learned in the New York city, where he has been leading the charge for the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Shaun took the position in 2004, and since then he kept his eye on the challenging goal of building more low- and moderate-income housing in New York City while piloting the nefarious web of interests, including landlords, developers and lenders, who all have an economic and monetary finger in the huge slice of pie.
Shaun has good experience in the HUD. Shaun also worked under President Clinton, where he attended as deputy assistant secretary for multifamily housing. Under the same role he handled a multibillion-dollar housing government grants program that served about 2 million every year.
President-elect Barack Obama is going to be making the annoucement of the the selection today.
