December 3, 2008 is the date set for the first day when the world famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be lighted up. Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting is now regarded as the world-famous star started holiday tradition and it is set to attract thousands of people.

Not only this but this attraction will attract today’s shows Al Rocker who will host the celebration of the 76th tree lighting ceremony.

The world spectacle will be broadcast live on NBC from 8 PM to 9 PM and will feature performances by Beyonce, David Cook, Jonas Brothers, Faith Hill etc.

However if the crowds scare you and you don’t want to be there when the crowd is at its peak, you can also see the brightly lit Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center from December 3, 2008 through January 9, 2009. And of course during the whole of Christmas day.
