Abraham Biggs is a Florida teen who committed suicide live on a streaming video and many believe that this kid was egged on by the viewers as well. Very unfortunate when somebody should have been calling 911 so that the kid could be saved.
Watch the youtube video on this incident. Actually the original video is extremely disturbing and I don’t think it should be watched by the faint hearted. Youtube is going to be taking such videos down from what I have heard as it is part of criminal investigation.
According to a lot of folks, Mr Biggs was suffering from depression and had allegedly announced earlier that he might try to take his own life in a similar broadcast. We don’t know the history of Mr Biggs medical condition or how long her had been suffering etc.

A very unfortunate incident. Others should take such situations seriously and atleast informed the police or called 911.

According to the bodybuilding website, the first person who called was from India using his fathers phone to let the police know about the incident. The police didn’t really give much attention. They just gave the phone number of the county where he lives. People thought he was just playing since he previously said that he’ll commit suicide but then he didn’t. it’s sad to learn that he did that in front of many people and that some of his audience gave him a push at it. Some just typed “lol” like it was something funny. Suicide is nothing funny to even think about. People should’ve directed him to some hotline and not let him do that.
It’s just so sad. One life lost that should’ve been saved.
It’s ridiculous that even if it was a joke that no one stepped up sooner. It’s like those people in schools who know that someone talked about or did bring a gun and didn’t say anything, then later the school gets shot up.
This generation is going down hill fast. It’s a shame and honestly i’m disgusted in the human race right now.
this whole thing upsets me to the fullest to know that over 1500 people watched but none of them did nothing. they even egged him on. this young mans life could have and should have been saved. this angers me that neither one of the websites were supervising any of the comments or blogs that were being posted. this young man needed help. but nobody took him seriously. people are cruel and sick.

It’s sad that someone so young would choose to end their own life before they ever really got a chance to experience life. No one said that life will be easy no matter how rich or poor, everyone has their fair share of problems and issues to deal with. It’s up to you to find a solution to your problems and to not take the easy way out because if you end your life today, there will be no tomorrow for you to change your mind. Please i highly recommend that people should talk to other people whether they are your family, friends, pastors, counselors etc…. Just please talk to someone. The good Lord never gives us more than we can bare, even if it seems like it sometimes. I do want to express my deepest condolence to the Abraham Biggs Jr family and friends and may the Lord guide your hearts and keep you safe through this difficult time of tragedy.

We live in an age where mental illness can be successfully treated. There are legal statues that prevent deliberately assisting suicide and rightfully so. Those that suffer can arrive at the conclusion that their lives are not worth salvaging. They do so as a result of their illness. I’ve worked in healthcare for many years and have heard countless testimonies from people who express immense gratitude that someone cared enough to intervene in order to prevent them from successfully committing suicide.
Consider if it was someone that you loved and cared for that was in the same position as Abaham Biggs. Would you not have preferred a different outcome?

actually he had many other ‘fake’ suicides (supposedly) that were called in. it is true that someone overseas was watching the webcam and did try to call the police—but it was dismissed. it’s a sad situation; but in some respect it’s like the boy who cried wolf although it should never be assumed as a ‘fake’ suicide and shouldve been dealt with accordingly. I pray for him and his family/friends.

Honestly, I think this whole concept is beautiful. He had courage to do what he wanted. I had a friend who committed suicide exactly three years ago today. on jan 21 it will be 2 years ago that i lost another friend to a tragic snowmobiling accident. its hard to see someone slip away into depression and you have no way of helping them. depression and suicide is not a joke and those of you who find it humorous take a look at your own lives and imagine the one you love being taken away from you. have a heart and think about how you would feel if people were making fun of their deaths. my condolences to the family, may he be in a better place.

Its not easy growing up these days. Children, teens, and young adults are put under so much pressure these days, school, work, friends/family, s0x, dr0gs, money, anything really. We try to teach our children to do the right thing so much that I think we often forget to reach out to our children from a different perspective to try to better understand them and things like this happen. I wish his friends and family the best and hope they have moved on as best they can.
Think about it this way. It may seem f0cked up to you, but imagine feeling like you have no reason to live for and all you can feel is ultimate pain and suffering, on the inside. He did what he felt he had to do to break the cycle of feeling worthless. Just know, in his heart he did what he knew was right and thats all that really matters, that he is able to finally be at peace with himself, living or deceased.
Mourn the loss of our young brother, open your heart and listen to those who need to speak. You could save a life and there is no greater feeling than that. Just remember there is no shame in asking for help, be it in the form of a suicide note (thats the only way some people know how to ask for help…) or a simple, hey can you help me out.
Those are just my thoughts. I am 24 years old and suffering moderate to severe depression. I have been hospitalized several times for bodily destruction, once for a suicide attempt. I have been in his shoes. I know the feeling all to well. I am just lucky enough to be able to talk to people who actually care. 9 out of 10 times talking is all it takes to prevent something like this.. RIP brother.

I know a really good friend of his, and she told me that he had tried many times before and she had once notified police, so yes he tried to get help and yes you might think he is a coward, BUT the question of life is was he a coward because he took his life or are those who watched him cowards because they urged him on to do something many of them themselves wanted to do but wouldnt bring themselves to try because they feared death? Let the dead rest and stop stirring up trouble and show some sympathy, He had alot going for him and people that cared. Don’t drag his name through the mud because he chose to take his life. I’m sure you all know many who have done that so You know how the people who knew him feel. as for those of you who don’t.
