Strong and whipped winds have pushed flames close to Brea High School and a large office park near the intersection of Wildcat Way and Lambert Road. This has led authorities to announce evacuations in Brea neighborhood.
The fire has been burning all around the Brea High School but fortunately the campus itself has been so far away from the flames. In fact, the greyish smoke and flames have been so thick that one could not spot the buildings in all that smoke. Gives you an idea about the intensity of the heat and fire.
Further aggravating all this is the Santa Ana winds, which were blowing heavily in the area near Valencia Avenue at Carbon Canyon Road, and the flames were moving toward homes and the 57 Freeway.
If you live in the area, please give your on-site account of what the situation on the ground is like. I have tried to include some pictures and videos that I could find.
