Obama’s Reference To Nancy’s Seance

Obama made his first press conference gaffe when he said that he has had discussions with all former presidents. When he said all of them, did that include the dead as well? Hmmm…no denying Obama has magical powers which can move mountains and votes, but having discussion with dead people? Wow.

So to clarify this, Obama later on made this statement -

I’ve spoken to all of them that are living,” the president-elect said in a lighter moment during his first press conference since his victory.

“I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances,” he joked.

It actually wasn’t Nancy Reagan who was linked to conversations with the dead; it was Obama’s top Democratic challenger for the presidency, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.

According to AP, in either case, use of the word “seance” might be overstated. I would agree since when you have the world’s best intelligence machine, why would you depend on these snake oil selling astrologers.
