Guess how much do the founders Sergey and Larry, and CEO of Google Eric Schmidt pay themselves?
Finally the search engine giant has filed its 2008 proxy statement which shows what insane amounts these guys pay themselves as Salary at Google:
Eric Schmidt
Salary: $1
Bonus: $1,898
Other: $474,662 (security)* + $4,000 (plane)
Sergey Brin
Salary: $1
Bonus: $1,723
Other: $0
Larry Page
Salary: $1
Bonus: $1,723
Other: $0
Many in regular corporate America would complain about having to pay themselves for the company plane ride.
Also note how much Eric spends on security while the founders none. Half a million?! Given that the founders are the real holy rollers here, its kind of strange.
That is indeed outrageous [:D]
With all the stock options they hold, no wonder they dont need a salary!
