Phil Fulmer Resigns

Tennessee Volunteers head football coach, Phillip Fulmer, resigns, effective at the end of the 2008 season.

Sure he has resigned but what the news site are giving the impression that he has resigned straight away and this is not true. The resignation is not effective until the end of the 2008 season. A press conference by Tennessee is scheduled at 6:00 PM to presumably announce his resignation.

This season has been rough for the Vols, even prompting fans to “boycott” games, and their record thus far is 3-6. After the loss to South Carolina on Saturday (27-6), they are 1-5 in the SEC. They have lost four straight games.
