Western Kentucky University is limping back to regular schedule after reports that there was shooting on the campus. However these reports of WKU shootings proved incorrect and unfounded. Initially, even the Western Kentucky University officials did not confirm of any gunshots and now they are expressly saying there was no shooting at all.
All main campus and some south campus classes will remain canceled for the rest of the day.
Early reports about 2 hours ago said there was a shooting in the South Campus building on Nashville Road, then of one near Pearce Ford Tower on the WKU main campus.
Early this afternoon officials confirm reportedly no shooting and perhaps no gunfire at all. But that still did not stop the cops from taking four people into custody. (Is the custody for spreading rumors or actual shooting?)

I stay on campus…didnt here anything. i think i missed the show
I am a student at WKU. I was leaving Campus when I got my alert Text message about shots being fired. I for one did not even hear shots being fired and as small as campus is, many people would have heard gunshots. Whatever happened, I’m just glad that WKU took such precautions to keep us all safe. It’s better to know that nothing happened rather than them ignoring a possible threat.
