AFP is reporting the following about Alaska Troopergate report:
The report into abuse of power allegations against Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin is poised to be released Friday after Alaska lawmakers review findings of the probe.
Alaska’s Supreme Court on Thursday rejected an attempt by state Republicans who had been seeking to halt the investigation into the “Troopergate” affair, claiming it had become politically motivated.
Members of Alaska’s Legislative Council began a closed-doors meeting in Anchorage shortly after 9:00 am local time (1700 GMT) where they were to be briefed by the inquiry’s lead investigator, Steve Branchflower.
McCain’s running mate Sarah Palin could be in deep trouble depending on which way this report goes. Both conservatives, liberals, the Dems and the Reps are eagerly waiting for the outcome of this Troopergate report. From what I have heard, the report will not be made public.
Sarah Palin infact made a comment saying she has nothing to hide and its the Governors office prerogative to hire the best people for the job.
While the Dems and liberals say that Sarah Palin brought Kitchen politics to the Govs office. I see merit in their argument.
