When: Sunday. 10-mile race begins at 7:10 a.m. and marathon begins at 8 a.m.

Start: Metrodome Finish: State Capitol

Forecast: Temps in the low 50s, possible showers.

At stake: The men’s marathon is the USA Championship, along with the men’s and women’s masters divisions of the marathon, and the women’s 10-mile race.

Chicago marathon

Defending champion Berhane Adere will chase a third successive victory at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 12.

The Ethiopian was added to the field on Thursday along with Kenya’s Daniel Njenga, who after six top-three finishes in Chicago, is favourite for the men’s title.
