Marjorie Knoller has been sent back to the jail and had I been the judge, I would have done the same thing.
During the hearing, the judge strongly spoke out against Marjorie Knoller’s behaviour, especially the indifference and no remorse exhibited for the neighbor who was torn apart by Marjorie’s dogs in San Francisco apartment hallway.
I also agree with the length of the sentence. (Perhaps the more, the merrier). Marjorie Knoller was sentenced to 15 years of life in prison. The attack dogs were nothing but weapons and Marjorie had full responsibility for the dogs. If the dog bites someone, the owners have to pay for it. And If the dogs kill someone, the owner should be held responsible. The fact that Marjorie showed no guilt and was totally apathetic to the sufferings of the victim made it even more worse.
Marjorie also did not call the 911 or medical assistance and in fact if the court records are to be believed, she did nothing to help the victim during the 10 minutes that the dogs ripped apart their prey.
I’m afraid nobody is going to have any sympathy for Marjorie Knoller here.
