Governor Palin’s email account got hacked. Governor Palin is also the republican vice presidential nominee and she is being protected by the Secret Service. Sarah Palin’s email account was hosted with Yahoo and her Yahoo mail got hacked.
Its not clear how the hacker got access but he could have used XSS cross site scripting or brute force or even answered the questions that Yahoo thinks only the owner would know but of course with public figures almost all information is available in the public domain.
What is interesting though, that Sarah Palin was using her personal account for transacting government business. This is strictly against the laws. However since the information was obtained by illegal means, there is no question that this cannot be used in any court of law in United States and has to be ignored.
But voters know this and they should realize that Sarah Palin is definitely wrong on this.
