Mark “Papa” Guardado, the 46-year-old Hells Angel leader, was shot dead Sept. 2; his funeral was held on Monday.
A bit about his background. Guardado, was the commander of the San Francisco area. He was shot down after a bar room brawl turned even more nasty and fighters whipped out their guns. His funeral brought about 2,000 Hells Angels to Duggan’s Serra Mortuary in Daly City, most driving the biggest, baddest, loudest Harleys ever.
They came Monday from chapters all over the country as well as outside the country – Stuttgart, Germany; Alberta, Canada; and Melbourne, Australia.
An overflow crowd of hundreds of members sat or stood in the funeral home parking lot for two hours, creating a spectacle that attracted hundreds of gawkers and police from three cities.
The group then led what police say may have been the largest motorcycle procession ever in the San Francisco Bay area from Daly City to the Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma, creating a deafening uproar of engines and a spectacle that stopped traffic in its tracks on both sides of Interstate 280.
What a sight that would have been. Did anybody see it? I am sure it would be a sight hard to miss if you are in the vicinity.
Updates: Mongols have been busted. Check out more details about the sting operation and arrests from here – Click Here
And I bet you wouldn’t be able to guess who is being suspected fo the slaying. Police are actually on a look out for a member from the rival gang, called – Mongols Motorcycle Club – a more interesting name I would say.
