Popular American writer and author David Foster Wallace has committed suicide. He was found hanged by his wife in his home. David Foster Wallace’s wife Karen Green found his husband hanging at about 9:30 pm.
Its quite a tragedy but actors, writers, singer, have been known to live through times of stress and take this extreme action.
The details on why the writer committed suicide are still being investigated by the police but depression could be a likely cause.
David Foster Wallace was a teacher at the famous Pomona college in California. Wallace, besides authoring popualar works had also received a “genius grant” from the MacArthur Foundation in 1997. His short fiction was published in Esquire, GQ, Harper’s, The New Yorker and the Paris Review.
He will be missed and remembered.
