I am watching it right now and it was amazing to see the reception ex President got from the crowd. The audience did not want to end clapping and shouting for Bill. He is definitely a crowd favorite.
Bill Clinton spoke very well and once again showed why he was one of the most successful presidents of America. Amazing speech. Hard hitting and full of facts, substance.
At the outset Bill laid it out that he is here to support Obama win election and warm the crowd for Joe Biden.
I think he came off better and less selfish than his wife Hillary.
Bill did spend some initial time on his wife and I think thats absolutely fine. Ignoring the fact that his wife fought a well fought battle would have not been good as well. In fact he made a good joke about it saying the heat of the battle between Obama and Clinton increased the global warming. That was a good one.
I think if Bill was still running for president, he would have again easily won the elections again. He is going that good!
If at all Obama wins, it would be easy to say Bill played a phenomenal role in convincing Clinton voters to vote Democrat.
Before this, I was totally convinced that no matter what, Clintons would want Obama to lose so that Hillary can again run for president in 2012. Even after Hillary’s speech, I had a lingering doubt.
But after Bill’s speech, there is not a shred of doubt that the Clinton family is firmly behind Obama and wants him to win with all their heart and soul.
Immediately after the speech, Fox has Karl Rove on Hannity and Colmes trying to show that Clinton was given talking points and instructions on what he can say and what he cannot.
Its safe to say Sean Hannity doesn’t know from what end he is talking.
Hillary’s speech was totally unselfish. Did we watch the same speech?
I think I know what you mean. We did watch the same speech but somehow I got the vibes that she was doing it just for the sake of party unity and did not really have the heart for it.
And I am pretty sure I was redeemed when the other day they showed Hillary give a speech, go back, hug and kiss everybody but deliberately ignored Obama.
Bill was at hand and he noticed this. Bill led his wife by hand towards Obama and made sure they at least acknowledged each other.
This was after Democratic convention.
watching from scotland the american election has become a farce just as in england 2 competing parties both with the bankers usual agenda to screw down the peope with the 2 game show hosts probably working hand in glove hoodwinking the american people .the usual nonsense acted out thats why when ronald reagen got in at least there was a little honesty they used a real actor .
