Is 2010 Miss USA Pageant Photo Shoot Too Racy?

A lingerie photo shoot with the 2010 Miss USA Pageant contestants is causing controversy.  But will it cause more fans to watch or turn it off on Sunday night?

The photo shoot by photographer Fadil Berisha, titled “Waking Up In Vegas,” has been a popular video on since it was posted on Monday. (Video of the photo shoot is posted below. One of the photos is posted, right.)

Donald Trump, who owns the Miss Universe organization and the Miss USA contest, said he has no problem with the pictures, The Associated Press (AP) reported.  He called them “a little bit sexy” and is glad people will be watching.

A pageant representative called the photos tasteful, the AP reported.

The 2010 Miss USA Pageant will air Sunday at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on NBC.  The show will be hosted by Natalie Morales and Curtis Stone.

Provost Dr. Tom Burish stated in the release that “While Notre Dame would have preferred to maintain its independence, the financial realities of the world of college football made the decision a necessity.” He also said that “The longstanding tradition of the schools in the Big 10 conference best fit that of the Irish program”, according to reports.
