Â Greyson Michael Chance put a few of his videos up on YouTube and has been “discovered.” Â His video cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” has gone viral. Â And well it should. Â This 6th Grade Oklahoma piano virtuoso not only plays like a seasoned professional but he has the vocals to go with it. Â And since Greyson Michael Chance’s video has caught everyone’s eye, the queen of video-to-reality transition, Ellen Degeneres, has invited the wunderkind to her show.
Since being discovered by “The Daily What” on Tuesday and featured on Popeater and other media outlets, Greyson Michael Chance’s YouTube video for “Paparazzi” has garnered over 8.4 million views (up from just under 1.6 million at 8 p.m. on Tuesday — 18 hours) at the time of this publication. Â His phenomenal playing and singing skills prompted a fan page on Facebook, which now has over 16,600 fans signed (up from 5,200 on Tuesday — nearly 46 hours previous to this post).
And now Greyson Michael Chance has been invited to appear on “The Ellen Degeneres Show.” Â You just know Ellen will get him to play “Paparazzi.”
Anyone who watches Ellen knows that she is a fan of videos. Â A YouTube video of a cute kid with musical talent? Â No way would Ellen Degeneres pass that up. Â She has the videographers and the stars of the videos she enjoys on her show all the time. Â Sometime between being “discovered” and Wednesday, rumors hit the internet that Michael Greyson Chance would make an appearance Thursday on “The Ellen Degeneres Show.”
