American Teenager Coco Vandeweghe put on an impressive display for a 16 year old but was defeated by second seed Jelena Jankovic who cruised into the second round of the U.S. Open with a commanding 6-3 6-1win over Coco.
Incidentally Coco has been referred to as Kiki by a lot of her fans, either lovingly or mistakenly.
Vandeweghe is still 16 and many critics are saying she failed to make much of an impression in her first grand-slam appearance even though she played a hard hitting game at the famous Arthur Ashe stadium.
Personally I am not a big fan of watching tennis live but a friend from office is going to be watching some of these matches straight from Arthur Ashe and I am going to depend on his judgment whether watching the action from nose bleed sections is any fun.
